South Windsor Wrestling Association
Our Mission
South Windsor Wrestling Association Incorporated is a nonprofit youth wrestling club serving South Windsor, Connecticut and the surrounding towns. Our mission is to introduce young wrestlers to the sport, develop their skills through consistent coaching and competition, and build discipline, work ethic, and confidence that carries into the classroom and beyond. We are entirely run by parent and community volunteers, and we welcome kids of all experience levels, from first timers to returning wrestlers.
Activities and Programs
Weekly Practice
We run practice year round for youth wrestlers from South Windsor and neighboring towns, focused on technique, conditioning, and confidence in a supportive team environment.
Dual Meets
Throughout the season our wrestlers compete in friendly meets against local clubs, giving them regular opportunities to test their skills and gain experience.
State Tournament
Each winter our wrestlers compete in the state youth wrestling tournament, held on Sundays, representing South Windsor at the highest level of youth competition in Connecticut.
Our Own Tournament
South Windsor Wrestling Association proudly hosts its own youth wrestling tournament each year, entirely organized and run by parent and community volunteers, with high school students and parents staffing the event.
Get Involved
South Windsor Wrestling Association runs entirely on volunteer effort. Parents coach, run practices, coordinate meets, and organize our annual tournament. High school students help staff our tournament each year and gain valuable leadership experience doing it. If you would like to volunteer, coach, or help out at an event, we would love to hear from you.
